Automotive Technology
The B.Voc in Automotive Technology is an industry-integrated program modeled on the Swiss Dual System of Vocational Education. It prepares specialists in two key areas:
- Mechanical & Mechatronics
- Automotive Paint and Bodywork
The program is offered by the Automotive Technology in collaboration with the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), a national body representing over 15,000 dealerships. FADA supports student internships and placements.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility Criteria:
- 10+2 in any stream, or
- 2 years of ITI after 10th or
- Polytechnic Diploma holders are eligible for lateral entry admission
Selection Procedure: Entrance Exam followed by a personal interview.
B. Voc in Automotive Technology
The B.Voc. in Automotive Technology is an industry-focused undergraduate program designed to prepare students for careers in the modern automotive sector through a blend of classroom learning, hands-on laboratory training, and industry exposure. Inspired by the Swiss Dual Education System and aligned with NEP 2020, the program builds strong foundations in vehicle systems, automotive electricals, mechatronics, body repair, and emerging technologies such as hybrid and electric vehicles.
With a strong emphasis on occupational practice and workplace training, students gain real-world experience and industry-ready competencies throughout the program. Graduates are equipped for careers in automobile manufacturing, EV industries, vehicle diagnostics, service and maintenance, quality assurance, and other automotive technology domains.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility Criteria:
- 10+2 (PCM preferred) or,
- 2 years of ITI after 10th or Equivalent or,
- Diploma holders (eligible for lateral entry admission)
Selection Procedure: Entrance Exam followed by a personal interview.

Dr. Sunil Anand
Sunil Anand is Professor and Dean in the Automotive Technology Education, BSDU since April 2022. Before joining BSDU, he has worked with top universities including Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore, and SRHU Dehradun having total 11.5 years of experience in academic domain.
Apart from this he has also worked in the Automobile service industry for more than 15 years and has undergone various trainings including at Maruti Udyog Ltd, Ashok Leyland etc.
